High-precision batching in hazardous areas with Sartorius IS-X Series weighing platforms

Fast, reliable and remarkably accurate: the IS-X Series of intrinsically safe weighing platforms from Sartorius is designed for sophisticated batching applications in hazardous areas in which combustible gases and/or dusts may be present. Thanks to ATEX, FM and CSA certification, they are approved for use both in zone 1 and 2 hazardous areas (gases) and, depending on model, in zones 20, 21, and 22 (dusts) as well.

With weighing capacities of 0.001 g to 300 kg, the IS-X platforms meet all requirements placed on automated processes: from fast and reliable weighing results to high precision to rugged construction, as well as full connectivity for controllers and networks. All precision platforms in this series are equipped with a monolithic weighing system, a built-in motorized calibration weight, integrated overload protection and electrical preload compensation. With response times faster than 1.5 seconds, equipment operators get reliable weighing results with resolutions of up to 600,000 digits - even when subject to fluctuating ambient temperatures. The weighing capacities span 0.62 kg to 300 kg, and the full product spectrum incorporates 6 non-verifiable models and 12 verifiable models. Each model consists of weighing system, electronics, housing, and stainless steel digital interface, and has either IP54 or IP65 protection, depending on model.
