Soxtherm: The Future of Rapid Extraction with Control via PC

The new Gerhardt Soxtherm models combine the success of a highly automated rapid extraction system with a modular design thus fulfilling the demands of any lab size. Depending on the needs, the customer can choose a 2, 4, or 6 place unit. All systems can be upgraded at a later date. Soxtherm reduces the extraction time to one fifth of the traditional Soxhlet method. The fully automatic analysis guarantees ultimate precision but at the same time reduces the consumption of solvents (thanks to the automated solvent recovery) and water, thus cutting down not only labor costs but running costs as well. The method used is in accordance with AOAC, EPA, §35 LMBG and DEV.
Controller
Up to four Gerhardt Soxtherm units can be operated and controlled with the external Multistat. Each unit can work individually with various program parameters. Another option is the controlling software Soxtherm Manager for the PC which allows controlling up to four extraction units as well. All functions offered by Multistat, are part of the program in the Soxtherm Manager. Furthermore, this software offers various options for documenting and recording of data, like e.g. the monitoring of the sample name, input of program and user identification. With the Soxtherm Manager, Gerhardt offers an efficient software, which can meet all requirements of a modern laboratory management.
