Particle Analysis Outer Limits: 1 µm to 4 mm The new FPA (Fine Particle Analyser) for particle size and particle shape analysis

The newly developed FPA (Fine Particle Analyser) allows the photo-optical determination of particle size and particle shape of dry powders and granulates within a unique measurement range of 1 µm – 250 µm/50 µm – 4 mm. A distinctive feature of the FPA is, that the special design of hard- and software allows an easy and quick change to the second measurement range. Exact and reproducible results as well as the robust and compact design of the FPA is outstanding – perfect for use in laboratories and online processing. Even cohesive powders can be analysed due to the sophisticated dispersion system.

Based on the well proven PartAn technology the FPA delivers reliable and reproducible results - less time consuming and with less effort compared to sieve analysis. Furthermore the FPA provides even more data on the particle size (length, thickness, width, area, diameter) and in-depth information on particle characteristics. The measurement results will be calculated up to 2048 channels – freely selectable. The user can chose his own fraction, such as the standard sieve fraction.

The FPA presents the unrivalled particle analysis for dry products. Easy operation, quick analysis of samples – especially by high sample throughput or routine analysis for quality control and process control – is a highly appreciated customers benefit. Comprehensive measurement results are of great value for researchers and developers who’s daily business is to perform challenging analysis.

Naturally all measurement data can be transferred into existing LIM-systems or can be provided as ASCII-format for further data interpretation.
