bio-t ® mini – the laboratory bioreactor system
As the smallest member of the zeta family, the bio-t® mini laboratory reactor system is designed for conventional research and development tasks as well as training system for universities. Moreover the system can be used for inoculum production under GMP conditions. Within the scope of delivery is a bioreactor, a controller comprising hard- and software and a SCADA system for data export to an external PC.
Bioreactor:
- very robust, autoclavable, graduated water-jacketed glass culture vessel with working volumes up to 10 litres
- Stainless steel vessel stand with handles for easy handling
- Electro polished head plate made of stainless steel with universal lid nozzles for inserts
- Various inserts like dip tubes, tri-port adapters, spargers, recirculation coolers, probes, etc.
- Stirrer with removable motor for magnetic or direct drive
- Impellers for all cultivation applications

Predefined packages of the bio-t® laboratory bioreactor system are available for bacterial culture and cell culture. The gas mixing station is available in the following three versions:

Standard – manual control of flow rate with rotameter and automated addition of one gas (oxygen enrichment) by solenoid valve

Pulse Flow Control – manual control of flow rate with rotameter and automated addition of up to four gases (air / nitrogen / oxygen / carbon dioxide) by solenoid valve

Continuous Flow Control – automated control of flow rate by mass flow controller, for precise dosing of up to four gases (air / nitrogen / oxygen / carbon dioxide)

Furthermore a complete SCADA system, that can be used to control a current process with an external PC, can be offered.
Concerning agitation AMRi is the solution for bioreactors in the laboratory or technical centre. An outstanding feature here is the encapsulated magnetic coupling projecting into the product space, and the ceramic shaft bearing in a version with no clearance volume.
Apart form magnetic-coupled agitators, zeta also supply conventionally-sealed agitator systems with a single or double mechanical seal. These are used mainly where the risks of contamination is more of a secondary consideration.
