The Viscotek DLS Model 802 - now available with the new DAT-Technology

The successful Viscotek DLS Model 802 is now available with the new DAT-Technology (Dual Attenuation Technology). Using the DAT-Technology, both highly diluted protein solutions and highly concentrated solutions as they are often used in crystallisation experiments can be directly measured without changing anything at the instrument. This is possible due to an attenuator both on the detector side and the incident laser beam which are controlled by the powerful Viscotek OmniSIZETM-DLS-Software. Without the second attenuator the instrument is still the most sensitive one due to its patented Single Mode Fibre (SMF) Optics.

- Screen for aggregation prior to protein crystallization
- Measure the size of nano-particles
- Monitor protein aggregation as a function of varying solution conditions
- Protein conformation analysis
- Study protein-protein interactions in solution
- Characterize newly purified proteins for homogeneity, size and thermal stability
- Measure the stability and size of lipids, conjugates and other drug delivery particles
