09 Mar 2006 - NascaCell IP GmbH announced the appointment of Dr. Michael Blind to the position of CEO (Chief Executive Officer). Prior to his promotion, Dr. Blind was responsible for the research and development activities at NascaCell.
Dr. Blind, who is also co-founder of NascaCell, holds a diploma (MSc) in biology from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and received his PhD in biochemistry from the Department of Biochemistry at the Gene Center in Munich.
Furthermore, the company announced the closing of the second round of financing. The new capital was raised from a consortium of new private investors, the existing share holders and the management team. The new funds will enable NascaCell to expand its existing service business based on the aptamer platform. In addition, the new capital will be used to acquire new technologies to improve the overall product range.
