Cyanotech Receives GMP Certification

10 Oct 2007 - Cyanotech has received GMP certification (Good Manufacturing Practices) from the Natural Products Association. According to the company, Cyanotech was the first microalgae company in the world to be ISO certified and is one of only two Spirulina manufacturers that have attained the US FDA's GRAS status (Generally Recognized as Safe).
 
"Cyanotech has been operating under GMP guidelines for many years, but we see this official GMP certification as an important document to prove to the world that we follow strict quality guidelines," said Cyanotech's Founder and CEO, Dr. Gerald Cysewski.
