MGPi and Explorer Global have filed a motion against Genomics One

13 Apr 2005 - Genomics One Corporation announced that MGPi and Explorer Global Inc. have filed a motion against Genomics One, its President & CEO, Dr. Suzanne L. Lebel and 2 former employees of Dephy Technologies Inc. ("Dephy"), a company that Genomics One has been in the process of acquiring the assets. The two plaintives are claiming CDN $2.797 Million in damages against the Corporation and the individuals in connection with the acquisition of the assets of Dephy by Genomics One.
 
MGPi has also filed a lawsuit in the past against Genomics One's French co-distributor and co-developer Abionix SARL in a related matter and lost their case which was confirmed in appeal. Genomics One Corporation has reviewed the allegations contained in the statement of claims and believes that the claim is without merit. The Corporation intends to vigorously defend itself in response to this legal proceeding.
