Xenon Genetics Inc. Changes Name to Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc.

30 Jun 2004 - Vancouver. Xenon Genetics Inc. announced that, effective immediately, it has changed its name to Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc. The new name more accurately reflects Xenon's drug discovery and development focus and the Company's goal of commercializing novel drugs.
 
Xenon's new website address is: www.xenon-pharma.com. Xenon shareholders unanimously approved this change at the Company's Annual General Meeting on June 25, 2004. Xenon's drug programs are based upon novel targets that have a high degree of human validation. The Company's lead program, a small molecule treatment for obesity and metabolic syndrome, is expected to advance into clinical development in early 2005. Xenon's CNS and iron metabolism drug programs are currently in lead optimization.
