Cellectis receives the 2009 INPI National Innovation Award

29 Jan 2010 - Cellectis S.A. has won a National Innovation Award from the French National Institute for Industrial Property (INPI). Cellectis IP Manager Michèle Paquier received the award from Thierry Morin, President of the INPI Board, during a ceremony at the Pavillon Gabriel venue in Paris.

The awards, organized annually by the INPI since 1991, honor small and mediumsized companies whose growth can be attributed to their outstanding innovation policies and which use a comprehensive intellectual property (IP) strategy to leverage business growth: economic intelligence, technology watching, IP rights (including patents, trademarks, registered designs and registered models), managing and exploiting license agreements, and combating infringement. After a regional competition, a panel of judges selects the national award winners.

"2009 was a very busy year for Cellectis in terms of IP,” said Cellectis CEO André Choulika. "We filed 15 new patent applications and had four patents granted. We also acquired the Vectocell® technology which has added an additional nine new patent families to our portfolio,” he added.

To date, Cellectis holds a portfolio of 58 granted patents for a total of more than 260 patents and patent applications.
