Transfluthrin
Transfluthrin is a fast-acting pyrethroid insecticide with low persistency. It has the molecular formula C15H12Cl2F4O2.
Transfluthrin can be used in the indoor environment against flies, mosquitoes and cockroaches. It is a relatively volatile substance and acts as a contact and inhalation agent. Baygon claims that "it does not have any residual effect". Ironically, this is contradicted by another of the company's products: The Outdoor & Spider Surface Spray, which promises a "6 months protective barrier," and contains 0.4g/kg of Transfluthrin [1].

The baygon spray mentioned in this article also contains propoxur. It is likely this (which is assumedly the residual component) which may last up to 6 months.
