Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare

Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare is an agency of the United States National Institutes of Health that enforces and sets guidelines for animal testing and research. The purpose of the agency is to make sure that all testing on vertebrates is done with the intent of finding a direct result from the test and that the animals' quality of life is considered.
