Contursi
Contursi Terme is a small village in Italy that became famous in 1997 because of the high incidence of Parkinson's disease found there. In one extended family 60 cases can be traced back over 6 generations. This was the first time that evidence was found of a genetic pre-disposition to Parkinson's.
