Buccal exostosis
Buccal exostosis is the formation of bone masses on the outer, cheek-facing side of the upper jaw just above the teeth or the cheek-facing side of the lower jaw. Formation on the lower jaw occurs much less commonly than on the upper jaw. They are painless, but may contribute to periodontal disease if they become too large. Buccal exostoses have no malignant potential.
