Viscotek was founded 1983 and since then Viscotek became the leader in gel permeation chromatography. The comprehensive product range guarantees the appropriate GPC/SEC solution for any application, starting from biopolymers and polysaccharides up to proteins. The asolute molecular wight and structure information of the macromolecules is obtained by light scattering and viscosity detection.
In 2005 Viscotek added an instrument for dynamic light scattering to the product range. This instrument is used in the field of protein crystallography to screen samples prior to crystallization experiments. The Viscotek DLS instrument is an essential tool that can provide information about stability, conformation, aggregation and complex formation in a fast, accurate and user friendly manner.
