AGOWA is an internationally acting genomics company located in Berlin.

Founded in 1993, the company offers a broad spectrum of services ranging from isolation of nucleic acids, over library construction, automated picking and DNA spotting, overnight DNA custom sequencing service, genotyping, bioinformatics up to the complete analysis of genomes.

Since December 2005, AGOWA has been part of the LGC Group, Europe's leading provider of analytical and diagnostic services and reference standards.

AGOWA looks back on long-standing experience in large-scale sequencing gained in international and national genome projects.

AGOWA´s magnetic separation technology, which is using AGOWA´s self developed special magnetic particles to separate nucleic acids, is predestined for the complete automation of the extraction process. Magnetic separators and kits from AGOWA have been implemented on all common liquid handling robots.
