Since 1993 researchers from both academia and industry have been getting together at the European Coating Symposium to discuss advancements in liquid film coating science and related processes. The ECS Symposium is held biennial in rotation with the International Symposium of Coating Science and Technology (ISCST). ECS 09 will take place in Karlsruhe, Germany and is organized by the group Thin Film Technology (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology). There will be invited talks, contributed talks, poster and exhibitorsessions. The scope of this meeting is to present latest developments and technologies, featuring contributions on fundamental science and applied research.
