Mikrochip Elektrophoresis System for DNA/RNA Analysis

This next-generation system will bring about revolutionary changes in life science laboratories

by Shimadzu Deutschland GmbH

The full automated electrophoresis system MultiNA from Shimadzu quickly and easily performs DNA and RNA nucleic acid size confirmation and quantitation. This System uses microchip technology to conduct fully automated high-speed electrophoresis separation and fluorescence detection to perform high-sensitivity analysis.

The selection of optimal buffer systems and the simultaneous electrophoresis of an internal marker ensure high analysis reliability and reproducibility. This instrument is equipped with up to four microchips that can be installed for parallel processing of analysis pre-treatment and electrophoresis for maximal 108 different samples, resulting in a processing speed of just 75 seconds per analysis. Before and after an analysis, the microchips are washed automatically and can be used about 3,600 times under standard analytical conditions.

The high-performance reusable microchips achieve lower running costs for consumables per analysis than an agarose gel electrophoresis. In addition to this the MultiNA is very easy to use. The combination of the instrument control software and a sophisticated graphical user interface ensures that analytical operation is extremely simple. Simply place it on the lab bench, instantly perform a run, and quickly see the results.
