Roche introduced its new real-time PCR system in June 2011 with “Size: Reduced. Fun: Amplified”. The small, silent, sleek LightCycler® Nano Instrument supports state-of-the-art technology for fast PCR protocols, featuring leading edge thermal resolution and reproducibility.
The benchtop LightCycler® Nano Real-Time PCR System is the product of an exclusive OEM agreement withIT-IS Life Sciences Ltd, using proprietary Roche reagents for precise and reproducible DNA amplification and melting curve analysis. Cost-effective dedicated reagent kits include the LightCycler® Nano DNA Green Value Packs for use with with SYBR Green I dye and the LightCycler® Nano DNA Probes Value Packs for use with gene-specific hydrolysis probes are available, as well as the LightCycler® Nano 8-Tube Strips and Caps.
With the LightCycler® Nano System, Roche has created something special. Intuitive in design and usable with or without a PC, researchers will have more fun acquiring cutting-edge results. Complete spectral information is provided for a broad range of dyes, supporting all state-of-the art assay formats and real-time PCR applications. The instrument can be used in networks, and does not require a dedicated computer. Either a Mac or Windows Operating System, or simply a USB flash drive (stick) can be used to start a run.
Like all LightCycler® Instruments, the LightCycler® Nano produces high quality qPCR, genotyping and high resolution melting data using easy-fit reagents, reaction vessels and instrumentation. The LightCycler® Nano Real-Time PCR System was clearly built to be enjoyed in every lab, on every bench.
