MCA2200G detects the 62kDa c-myc gene product, which is involved in the regulation of the cell cycle and cell growth. p62 c-myc is primarily located to the cell nucleus, but has also been shown to localised to the cytoplasm in several cell lines. Overexpression of c-myc has been reported in a wide variety of human cancers. This antibody may also be used to detect the commonly used c-myc 'tag'.
